Input File Format and Examples

 

The input file can be in the format of mol and sdf, the input file being named as .mol and .sdf respectively.

(1)A mol file (.mol) is a file format developed by MDL Information Systems, the manual for the file format can be down loaded from web site: http://www.mdli.com/downloads/public/ctfile/ctfile.jsp

(2)A sdf (.sdf) file is one of a family of file formats from MDL holding chemical data, especially structure information. "SDF" stands for structure-data file and SDF files actually wrap the molfile (MDL_Molfile) format. Multiple compounds are separated by a delimiter, a line of four dollar signs ($$$$). A feature of SDF is the possibility of storing associated data items.
